Mid July Update
There are some definite themes coming up in the ten stories that we have seen so far in the past three weeks, some that a lot of people are relating to already.
More and more people are emailing to contribute to the site and you are all welcome to keep doing so. Use the form under the “contact us” page and send me your details. We have two new confirmed writers, I couldn’t ask for a better response.
I’d like to bring to everyones attention the RSS feeds on the site. For those of you that don’t know, this is a way to subscribe to “feeds” and with certain software will allow you be notified when a new article is posted either on the site in general or from a specific writer.
If you are using a browser such as Firefox, you have a built in RSS reader, just click on “Subscribe” on the top menu, or the (RSS) link next to an authors name on the left side bar and it will create a new bookmark for that specific reader.
However, I prefer software such as Sharp Reader that gives you a little more functionality in terms of notifications, organising of feeds, etc..
You can also use it for most blogs that you visit, so just a tip for the day.
Of course, if you use twitter, just follow us on @OldTakkies.
In the next two weeks we will be wrapping up the first topic with some summaries and hopefully some good dialogue.
Keep safe everyone, and glad to have you here.
